Strategy, goals, and departments
Maintain strategic context, measurable goals, and the operating structure used by agents and workflows.
Strategy
The Strategy area stores the venture's current strategic narrative. Teams can create and update strategy documents, inspect revisions, and make the active strategy available as context to AI work.
On the venture’s Goals tab, expand Strategy & direction and select Open strategy. The strategy drawer brings vision, mission, and key priorities together, with the current revision and last-updated date. Select a section preview to open it directly, or use the drawer’s section links to move through the document.
Strategy revisions are useful when the business direction changes: update the source rather than repeating corrections in every task.
Goals
Goals turn the strategy into trackable outcomes. A goal can include its title, description, status, progress, timeframe, target date, department, and relationships to venture work.
Use goals to:
- communicate the intended outcome to agents;
- group and prioritize work;
- distinguish active goals from completed, cancelled, or abandoned goals;
- preserve a history of changes.
Open the venture’s Goals tab to see active priorities first. The overview counts active, in-progress, and completed goals; use search, status filters, or progress sorting to focus the list. Select Add goal to set a new outcome.
Select any goal to open its drawer. It shows reported goal progress, ownership, target date, the full description, and linked tasks. Linked-work counts describe task execution separately from the goal’s outcome progress. Select a linked task to inspect its workflow.
Use Edit goal in the drawer to update the goal and return to its details. Abandoned goals remain available through the Abandoned filter and open for reference without editing.
Track revenue, acquisition, retention, and churn in the venture's connected analytics system, then use goal updates to summarize progress for agents.
Departments
Departments define operating areas such as Product, Engineering, Marketing, or Operations. They organize agents and workflow responsibility.
You can create, edit, and remove departments, then associate agents and work with them. Department-level views help separate ownership inside a venture.
Department views organize ownership and workflow reporting. Use your finance and workforce systems for headcount and capacity budgets.
Open a department
On the venture’s Team page, select a department card above the organization chart. Every department has a direct link, including paused departments.
The department workspace brings together its priorities, recurring schedules, and work history. Use Overview, Recurring schedules, and Work history to jump between sections. Select a schedule name to see its upcoming runs and history; select a workflow to open its task drawer.
The drawer’s phase timeline shows completed, active, waiting, and failed steps. Its count reflects recorded steps, not an estimate of how much work remains. Running workflow drawers refresh automatically, and each step expands to show its details and results.
Pause a department
Open the department and select Pause department to stop its recurring schedules and department-head wake-ups. You can still chat directly with its CXO. Paused departments are omitted from the CEO's department directory, and agents cannot create schedules for them or reference them as stakeholders through the router.
Select Resume department to restore the schedules that were active before the pause. Schedules you had already paused or cancelled stay that way. If the venture is paused too, resume the venture first. Work already running when you pause is allowed to finish.
